The CEO of the Digital Health Agency is leaving after six years, for one of the biggest jobs in the Australian public service.
Amanda Cattermole, chief executive of the Australian Digital Health Agency is leaving the job to be chief operating officer of the second biggest public service agency in the land – the Australian Taxation Office.
Ms Cattermole as been CEO of the ADHA for six years. She starts with the ATO on 2 November.
“Through her leadership, the Agency has worked in partnership with governments, healthcare providers, industry and the community to advance digital health as an important driver of health reform,” said the ADHA announcement on LinkedIn.
“Her ability to unite people around a shared purpose has strengthened national collaboration and helped make healthcare safer, more connected and person-centred.
“The Agency board thanks Amanda for her exceptional contribution to the Agency and the Australian health system.
“Her deep commitment to public service and to work that touches the lives of almost every Australian has shaped her time in digital health and will continue in her new role.
“Her dedication to a strong, inclusive culture and her belief in the Agency’s people and purpose have created a lasting foundation for the future. The Board wishes her every success.”
The ADHA’s chief program officer Paul Creech will serve as acting CEO during the recruitment process for a new permanent chief executive.
