The initiative aims to provide first aiders and communities with accessible and real-time mental health resources.
The non-government organisation Mental Health Foundation Australia and digital services and consulting company Infosys have paired up to create a new mental health self-help app.
Called Supportive Mind, the free app has a variety of features that encourages users to pay greater attention to their wellbeing and incorporate simple yet beneficial habits into their day-to-day lives.
The app allows users to track their mood and insights, then provides personalised activity recommendations, self-care tools, and wellness tips.
“The Supportive Mind app addresses the growing demand for accessible mental health support, particularly for individuals who find it difficult to manoeuvre busy lifestyles, owing to work, education and personal or family commitments,” a joint statement from the two companies read.
“By bridging gaps in mental health awareness, the app seeks to offer actionable solutions for proactive self-care and support.”
MHFA chairperson Professor Melissa Green was “thrilled” by the results of the collaboration.

“Our collaboration with MHFA to develop a scalable digital solution underscores our commitment to leveraging innovation to make mental health support accessible to everyone, wherever they live or work,” he said.
“We are excited to see this initiative drive meaningful change for individuals and communities alike.”
Supportive Mind is available on the App Store and Google Play.
